 1) "The 6 Quickest Ways To Become The Next Dot-Com Failure Master."

1. You don't have a unique web position

What do you think your site have special than others don't? Have you offer to your visitors enough motives to come back again? Do you have something to stand out from the crowd? Did you offer better information, services, free stuff, marketing tools? Take some time to define your position - look at your competitors and discover how you can be more relevant they are.

Take a look at the big Internet players. Corey Rudl is almost synonym with marketing tips, Paul Myers it's a master of building targeted mailing lists, Phil Wiley it's the expert on mini-sites, Michael Campbell is a top leader on search engine optimization, Allan Gardine tells you everything about affiliate programs, Jim Edwards build an Internet empire writing focused articles, and so on. Learn from their expertise and try to define your unique web position.

2. Spread your message to the whole world

Your website will never satisfied all the people... and this isn't your goal. Now face it: only the big guys try to deal like this and only couple of them succeed (like Yahoo!, Amazon, e-Bay, Google). Start finding people with problems and solve them. Get your niche market, become an expert adviser and dominate it. Please understand: focus on a specific prospect or group.

The more you get involve into a smaller targeted group, the more you'll benefit. It is your main job to identify a niche based on your own natural skills. Imagine now a scenario: you liked and are very good on designing covers. It will be a great loss for you to waist your time and try to market on your website (or through your mailing list) a product which is related to car spare parts. Obviously, it is also unrelated to advertise your service into such a website.

3. You have in love with your own product or service

This is one of the main reason people failed online: they get "in love" with a bad product or service they develop. I know, it's very hard to quit your "baby", but the only way to have a healthy business is to offer a product/ service that people really wanted.

Don't blame Internet because you failed. The 'Net is a BIG media source that changes every day, so you must to. My best advice is to throw away your hard selling product/ service and get a new one as quickly as possible! Look at your customers/ subscribers needs. Ask them about their problems and try to fix them with a great product or service.

4. No follow-up messages, no profits for your business

The first and most important thing is to track e-mail addresses. Than follow-up your prospects with good ad copy. Statisticaly, you'll need between 7 and 10 messages before you probably close a sale. The more targeted and biggest is your e-mail list, the better your profits will increase. But how to get a targeted list('s)? Read the Internet Marketing Profits Newsletter, issue 30 for more information on building huge, targeted, e-mail lists.

Now the best part: you can automate this process by using autoresponders. These are wonderful internet marketing tools that literally skyrockets your profits. Remember: no follow-up, no profits! There is nothing left to say here.

5. Deadly website sins

Your web site creates a first impression of you and your business to the world. It is an insane to have a great product/ service but a lousy web design. On the Internet time is money. You work hard to get prospects to your web site (perhaps you even "pay" them). Wouldn't be a great loss to send them away because you have an ugly and inaccessible website?

Some important elements a good web sites must have are layout here: fast download time, correct spelling/ grammar, easy and logical internal navigation, good and useful content, workable links, browsers compatible, control of graphics and animation, contact information, a good balance between graphic and text, use of the right colors and text fonts.

6. You don't know very much about your customers or subscribers

What your customer wants NEW from you? Did you ask them how they are, what other problems they have? Did you built a good relationship, treat them correctly EVERYTIME? Do you know the value of a life-time customer? How much they are eager to buy from you? How much time they are ready to spend on your website? What's the best price they are ready to pay for a new product or service? How they feel, where they live, what bothers them?...

If you don't have certain answers to these questions, let me tell you this: you'll losing big money online! Start finding answers to these questions TODAY, before it's not too late!

Final thoughts

Getting up a new website it's easy and cheap these days. Driving targeted prospects to your work can be also easy. But converting them into loyal customers is a daunting task. Stay away from these 6 "bloody" marketing mistakes to increase your chances to succeed online. Many other people do this everyday. IF THEY CAN DO IT, SO YOU CAN. Keep going!

Don't forget: people buy from those who know and have trust. People buy something that solves their problems. Your main goal online is to accomplish those two principles (for more detailated information on this subject, you have to read 12 Mistakes That Will Run You Definitely Out Of Business from my Internet Marketing Article Syndicator)

 2) "I Was In Total Disbelief... That Was Until I Found Martell's Book. At Last A Proven Step-by-Step Process That Really Works!"

I've come across something quite unique in the area of affiliate marketing training that I want to tell you about. It's called James Martell's Affiliate Marketers Handbook - 2002, and it's written by a Canadian earning an astonishing income promoting affiliate programs on his 30 plus specialty shopping websites.

Using only affiliate programs, James has built himself a home-based enterprise that earns his family over $40,000 per month. He now represents well over 100 merchants in over 30 different industries. Now, let's be clear.

When I say he earns over $40,000 a month, keep in mind that, as of this writing, he has been at it for three years and has published nearly 6,000 pages of relevant content to the Net. And his traffic is humongous!

In short, he runs a bona fide business -- more precisely a publishing business -- not the kind of gimmicky, Internet based, "instant" money making scheme showing up with nauseating regularity in our email inboxes these days. If the truth be old, James is a guy who was in the right place at the right time.

His training course -- offered in a 278 page PDF format -- is suitable for both beginners and pros, because his advice is based on the actual 8-step process he uses every day to research, organize and build websites that rank highly with the search engines.

And because he assumes that readers know nothing, he is able to walk anyone through the entire procedure in a structured, step-by-step manner. He even breaks each major step down into "mini" steps to ensure that no one gets lost.

The remarkable thing about James is that while others set themselves up as "experts" with affiliate programs (and sold e-books, courses and newsletters about it) James went about quietly building successful websites, learning through trial and error what works and what doesn't -- and joining hundreds of affiliate programs in the process. This sets his tutorial head-and-shoulders above the rest.

Uniquely, his manual walks the reader through each critical step of the process of researching a viable topic and building an information rich website around that topic, so that, hopefully, a web surfer clicks-thru to a recommended merchant and a commission gets paid.

The process is self-clarifying as each step builds upon the previous one, so that at the end of it all a person has a fully functioning website -- complete with merchants -- on the Net. And more importantly, they have now gained the "know how" to build more. He says that building the first site from scratch should take no longer than 3-4 weeks, however the pace depends entirely upon the circumstances of each reader.

Another nice feature is that, although his techniques are very up-to-date, purchasers have access to a password protected "updates" page in case something changes in a major way. A comforting thought.

I also like the fact that it's written by someone who is actually IN the business of marketing hard goods on the Net. As you may already know, most of the stuff written about Internet Marketing or Affiliate Marketing is a re-hash of what others wrote. And many are only selling information products within the already overcrowded "niche" of affiliate marketing. Sadly, it's often a case of the blind leading the blind.

Whereas, James waited until he was two and a half years into the business before organizing his knowledge into a training. And that was no easy task, he says. The process of organizing his tutorial (complete with nearly 100 helpful screenshots) into a format understandable to newbie's and meaty enough for pros, took over 6 months to complete and $10,000 of his own money, because he hired a full time editor to ensure that his manual had the right clarity.

The only problem I see with this training is the relatively high price. That could be a stumbling block for someone used to buying $39 - $80 (or even $100) ebooks. James justifies his high price by saying that he offers a "complete" system (a home study training) not just an ebook, with action steps to ensure success, based on verifiable results. But, maybe that's a good thing for those applying his ideas.

NOTE: you can go to a directory of his merchandising sites from his sales letter and check on his Google PageRank, which routinely show up as 4's, 5's or 6's, which as many know, guarantees impressive traffic -- and he offers a full, 100% money-back guarantee. In others words, there's no risk to purchasers!

I don't think you can go wrong with this one, especially since it could be the last investment in affiliate marketing "know how" you will ever need to make. I give it a hearty "thumbs up"!
