I never thought I will ever seen such a case study. It's a perfect example of how you can use online survey results so you can drastically improve your profits when you deal with certain professional categories. Or, if you prefer, a niche market.

Why do I post these information?

Well, it's simple. I'm also a kind of engineer. The hell... I AM actually an engineer. I do not participate into this survey but I really like it. So read, learn and... make more profits with your specialized web site!

SUMMARY:

RSS feeds and podcasts are hot, but do electronics engineers pay any attention to them? Which is more important: improving your Web site to appeal to engineers, or exhibiting at more trade shows?

And, what sorts of webinars would engineers around the world be extremely interested in attending?

CMP Electronics Group released the results of its 2006 Global Media Usage 2006 study exclusively to MarketingSherpa's reporters today. Here are our top five lessons learned that could (and should) affect your marketing.

NOTE: I receive yesterday an email from Anne Holland, Publisher and President of MarketingSherpa. Because they make a living online, I have to remove the whole article from my blog -- see the comments on the blog. Never mind, use this link to read the whole article:

Hi Anne,

I normally ask for rights before I post a good article into my blog. But I didn't this time because your content touch a sensible chord inside me.

You see, after a lot of years online, it's the first time I admit publicly that I'am an engineer. Only a handful of people online knows that.

I really enjoy reading your study and I deeply regret you cannot make an excerption this time.

But as a business owner and writer myself, I agree with you. That's why I remove the article from the blog and ask my visitors to read it from your web site.

Anyway, I hope this was a good lesson to learn for article writers -- at least for those who read this post!

A compelling article can worth a LOT to your business. If you write with passion, you never know when and what chords you can reach. Then, it's only a matter of time until you
get a lifetime customer.

Sorry for this inconvenience Anne.

PS: I watch your eComXpo presentation -- excellent stuff!
